Transferable Skills

The Transferable Skills course programme offers you the opportunity to expand your professional qualifications in a targeted manner by developing interdisciplinary skills. These include career planning skills, communication and presentation skills, personal skills, and writing and publication skills. These key skills are crucial for a successful academic career and professional development.

The programme is aimed at researchers, postdocs and doctoral students at the University of Lucerne and its partner institutions and is free of charge for these individuals.

Important information:

  • Courses will be held if there are at least seven registrations.
  • Registration is binding; you will receive definitive confirmation of the course two weeks before it begins.
  • To receive ECTS credits, please contact graduateacademy@unilu.ch at the end of the semester with the titles of the courses you have attended. Three completed transferable skills courses correspond to 1 ECTS credit. Individual coaching sessions are excluded from credit transfer.
  • Advanced Master's students can register. After the registration deadline (two weeks before the course begins), they will be added to the list of participants if there are places available and will receive a course confirmation by email. Master's students cannot apply for ECTS credits.
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration in good time. This will make planning easier for participants, lecturers and us. Thank you very much!
